Is it the end of UBER as we know it !!T

Tesla Robotaxi officially launches today. Flat $4.20 per ride.
- Is this the end of Uber?
Tesla just rolled out its first robotaxi service in Austin, Texas and yes, the price is literally $4.20 per ride. No tipping. No surge pricing. No driver small talk. Just summon, ride, and go.
For now, it’s small: around 10-20 Model Y vehicles, geofenced to a limited area, invite-only, and each car still has a “safety monitor” on board.
If this works...and scales... Uber, Lyft, taxis, delivery apps… they’re all in trouble. Maybe not tomorrow. But soon...
If Tesla flips millions of its cars into on-demand fleets, it won’t just skim commissions it’ll own the hardware, software, payments, data, energy...
Transportation is a $2T+ global industry. And Musk just made a power move to own all of it. Not just the ride. He’s building the cars (Tesla), the roads (Boring Co), the satellites (Starlink), the payments (X), the energy (SolarCity / Tesla Energy), and even the AI brains behind it all (xAI).
